DONATE – NAPA VALLEY

In California Wine Country, our community is comprised of more than just the residents; it’s also comprised of the people from around the world who enjoy our wine.

As a way of honoring both parts of our community in the wake of the Wine Country fires, we are donating a portion of our proceeds from wine sales from now through the end of December to three local organizations based in Calistoga. When you buy Chelsea Vineyards wine, you will get to choose if your purchase will benefit the Mountain Volunteer Fire Department, UpValley Family Centers, or Wine Country Animal Lovers.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to our fellow Calistogans for your selfless work and thank you to our Chelsea Vineyards family for loving California Wine Country like we do.

Looking to expand your contribution? Stay at a Napa Vacation Homes property before the end of the year as proceeds from our lodging reservations are also benefitting these wonderful organizations.

Here are the descriptions of the 3 organizations we’ve chosen:

Mountain Volunteer Fire Department (located in Calistoga)
The 100% volunteer firefighters/EMTs of the Mountain Volunteer Fire Department serve the area in which the 36,000+ acre Tubbs Fire originated. These selfless and courageous women and men provide emergency fire, medical aid, and rescue services to all who live, work, or visit their area which includes historical and notable geological sites like the Petrified Forest, popular tourist attractions like Safari West, and important grape-growing regions like Knights Valley and Fountaingrove AVAs. With medical facilities and trauma centers at least 25 minutes away, having a local responder from the Mountain Volunteer Fire Department at the site saves valuable time for providing initial medical support. Get to know the firefighters, the history of the department, and more about what it means to be a volunteer fire department on their website, http://www.mountainvfd.com.

UpValley Family Centers (501(c)(3) non-profit organization, tax ID #80-0023012)
The UpValley Family Centers has 3 offices located in Calistoga and St. Helena, in the northernmost part of Napa County, in a rural area that is far from most social services. They serve as the primary link for families and seniors in our community who need access to social services – eliminating geographic and language barriers they might otherwise face. They annually assist over 3,300 individuals, from babies to seniors. In addition to immediately responding to disasters like the recent Napa fires, they provide ongoing guidance, support, and resources in the community, in the home and for the individual, so that everyone can achieve a better life. Wine Country Animal Lovers (501(c)(3) non-profit organization, tax ID #27-1454400)
Wine Country Animal Loves (WCAL) is a small, all-volunteer run animal rescue based in the Napa Valley that serves Napa, Sonoma, and Lake counties. WCAL creates shelter and quality medical care in a safe, loving environment for domestic animals. During the fire, the WCAL and their volunteers stepped-up and were caring for a variety of animals including goats, horses, chickens, and bunnies. Throughout the year, the organization is committed to finding their animals loving forever-homes, providing resources to existing pet owners, and educating the public on responsible pet ownership through mentoring and outreach.
